Lisa Edelstein was an American actress, best known for her role as the main character of Fox's House medical drama. Born in Wayne within a conservative Jewish tradition, she moved into New York City at the age of 18 to pursue studies in acting at the Tisch School of the Arts. The school was very active in the club scene, creating enough controversy to draw the attention of the media. Then, she used her experiences and her fame in order to create and write the musical called Positive Me which she starred. She landed her first job on MTV as the host of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. After the show was finished the actress went on to do film as well as TV productions. The first time she worked, she was able to get small parts and established herself slowly as an actress.
