Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She is the author of fifteen books and is the cofounder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a TV host, journalist as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than ten years. She also is the owner of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. Her move to Greece to England aged 16 where she received an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. Being the first non-English-speaking student, she was elected president of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. Her popularity as a columnist of the conservative side was confirmed after she completed her studies. When the Huffington Post was launched The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online voice-portal that provided critiques of the political situation. It was possible for her to recruit many prominent contributors to share their thoughts about politics and culture. Arianna gained fame in 2003 after she decided to run for a non-partisan position in the California recall vote to succeed the Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of a Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Forbes identified her the most powerful woman in media in 2009. She ranked at 12th place on their listing. The Guardian added her to the list of top 100 media in 2009. AOL Inc. named her president of their media division in 2011, after they acquired The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included other AOL brands like Engadget, AOLmusic Style list and Patch Media. Elli has two siblings, Konstantinos Stasinopoulos and Elli the other, both of whom are journalist and management consultants. She was extremely close to her father. But it was her relationship with her mother who shaped her. In her earliest times, she demonstrated leadership skills for which she is still well-known. at the age of 16 she relocated into the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she joined the debating society Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. She graduated in 1972 with an education in Economics. She worked as a critic television host, as well as a columnist following her graduation. The appearance she made in Face the music with Bernard Levin was also notable. She began to write books with his guidance in editing.
